Just got the new M.I.A. and so far so good. Rusko produced most of the songs including the one attached. I'm not a dubstep fan but I really like it with M.I.A. I was concerned when I heard she wanted to sing more. That really just told me that the whole album was going to be drenched in vocoder, which the single, XXXO is.

Walkmen

The new Walkmen album just leaked and I've gotta say it's pretty good. For those people who haven't heard Walkmen listen to this song:

If you were making a trailer for an indie flick this would be the background music. It's pretty solid though.

As far as the new album, I got a sort or Vampire Weekend feel from it but with a little more authenticity. Listening to Lisbon makes me want to see The Walkmen live because I bet they'd sound just like their recordings. Vampire Weekend was always someone that I thought was very okay but got famous while better bands were going unrecognized and I really think Walkmen has that little bit of extra that should get them recognized, but until they get in a Michael Serra movie I guess they're shit out of luck.

Put away the new Arcade Fire and resurrect these. Lets be honest, the new Arcade Fire is the same as usual.

Every time I listen to Weezer I think I fall in love with them all over again. I don't think I could go one summer without overplaying El Scorcho.

I saw something today breaking down how the internet is used and 34 percent was dedicated to "Other". I like to refer to this "Other" as "Stumbleuporn". I know this is at least 34% of Andy's daily regiment.

The Office

The new season of the office begins September 23rd and I'm not sure what to do with my Thursdays before it begins. The obvious answer is Jersey Shore but it's not the same event. The beginning of Season 7 will be a beautiful thing, but the end will be heart-breaking with the departure of Steve Carell. Now I'm getting teary-eyed.

The beautiful "Lady" that you loved to hate before Gaga. Well, most people just hated her and thought she was ugly, but I always liked her and thought she was kind of sexy.
